Mr. Sritharan Kadirkamanathan is a distinguished Consultant Upper Gastrointestinal (GI), Laparoscopic, and Robotic Surgeon based at Mid Essex Hospitals NHS Trust. He also serves as an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Queen Mary University of London and Anglia Ruskin University. With over four decades of experience, he is renowned for pioneering minimally invasive surgical techniques in the UK. Mr. Kadirkamanathan was the first surgeon in Europe to perform gastric electrical stimulation (gastric pacing) for gastroparesis, establishing Broomfield Hospital as a national referral centre for this treatment. He has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and is actively involved in mentoring surgical trainees both in the UK and internationally.
