Izzie Gibson is a Consultant Nurse in Complex Nutrition with a specialist interest in Neuro‑Gastroenterology and Dysmotility at The Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust. She qualified in 2006 and has worked across a range of gastroenterology settings since then, moving into specialist nutrition in 2015. She leads nurse‑led service innovation, including the UK’s first Complex Nutrition Virtual Ward, for which she received the GUTS UK Dr Faulks Nurse Award. Her work focuses on nutritional interventions for people with severe DGBI, patient advocacy, and improving safety and consistency in artificial nutrition care. She is developing a co‑produced programme of research focused on patient‑defined priorities in foregut disorders requiring artificial nutrition.
